Project overview
This project was undertaken to strengthen Breakthrough's digital data collection and management system by integrating Google API services with the Open Data Kit (ODK) platform and Enketo webforms. The objective was to create a secure, efficient, and user-friendly system for collecting, managing, and analyzing field data.
As part of the project, Google API credentials were configured to enable secure communication between Google services and the ODK platform, digital survey forms were developed and optimized using the XLS Form standard, incorporating features such as skip logic, validation rules, mandatory fields, repeat sections, calculations, and multilingual support. These enhancements reduced data entry errors and improved the overall quality of collected information. Technical support was provided for troubleshooting, performance optimization, and resolving integration issues to maintain uninterrupted system functionality.
Overall, the solution enabled Breakthrough to conduct secure, browser-based digital data collection, streamline field operations, improve data accuracy, support real-time monitoring, and facilitate faster analysis and reporting across multiple development projects.
Scope of work
Google API & ODK – Enketo Integration for Breakthrough - Configured and managed Google API credentials and integrated Enketo webforms with the Open Data Kit (ODK) server to enable secure, browser-based digital data collection. The scope included:
- ODK server setup, digital form deployment, API integration, user access management, system and testing.
- Troubleshooting, and technical support to ensure seamless data collection, synchronization, and analysis across Breakthrough's field projects.
