CIMYYT: ICT for Agriculture Learning Network
Indev has developed the CIMMYT ICT for Agriculture Learning Network, a dynamic platform designed to empower agricultural stakeholders with the knowledge and skills necessary for leveraging Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to promote sustainable agricultural development. It serves as a centralized hub for knowledge sharing and facilitates collaboration among practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and professionals by offering online training courses, webinars, and resources covering various ICT-related topics. Through community engagement initiatives such as discussion forums and virtual workshops, the network fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange, while showcasing innovative ICT tools and solutions aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and resilience.
CIMYYT: Agro Tutor
Indev collaborated with CIMMYT to design and develop an open-source cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS) known as Agro Tutor, aimed at scaling knowledge among stakeholders, with a focus on farmers, particularly female farmers, and researchers. Agro Tutor features a custom visual framework for user-centric UX design on the front-end, ensuring a tailored and intuitive experience. It allows content creators to easily upload materials via an admin interface, with multilingual functionality to cater to diverse user bases. It also enabled progress tracking to empower users to monitor their performance against peers, and role-based content customization ensures relevance for different user groups. We ensured scalability to accommodate periodic course updates and expanding learner pools, delivering a solution that promotes accessible and effective learning.

About 70% of Telangana is covered by forest area and 98% of its population is tribal. The rainfall in this area is more than 3000 mm and due to it, heavy rainfall leads to soil erosion. The landholding of the farmers is low and most of the farmers belong to the small and marginal group. Also, crop productivity levels are very low due to the adoption of traditional practices.
With a Mission to Educate, Engage & Empower Farmer community Indev Consultancy Pvt Ltd has developed an application Skilled to empower farmers and their family members by providing an engaging ICTs based platform to access video library to see and download required crop-related videos.
The application has the features of video sessions to help farmers to learn about new techniques of farming, facilities to download videos of different ways of farming, multi-lingual integration, and a dashboard to categorize the crops.
